Learning how to say the days of the week in Spanish is one of the easiest thing in learning Spanish language.
Now, when you wake up each day, you will be able to say the days in Spanish and also be able to apply them in sentences.
As we all know Spanish language is not a language from Mars so, there is nothing strange here; it is still the 7 days of the week we know of.
So, let's get to it:
El lunes - Monday
El martes -Tuesday
El miércloes -Wednesday
El jueves - Thursday
El viernes - Friday
El sábado -Saturday
El domingo - Sunday
Now let's use them in simple sentences!
Por ejemplo (For example):
-Todos los domingos, vamos a la iglesia.
O
Vamos a la iglesia todos los domingos.
Every Sunday, we go to Church. or We go to Church every Sunday.
- Mi madre viene a visitarme el lunes.
My mother is coming to visit me on Monday.
- Cada sábado, duermo hasta las diez (10) de la mañana.
Every Saturday, I sleep until 10 am.
-Me voy, ¡hasta el martes!
I'm going, see you on Tuesday.

-If you notice, I started with "el lunes - Monday” that is to say that days of the week in Spanish countries starts on Monday not Sunday like in English. Learn more about the Spanish speaking countries!
-They all begin in lower case letters.
-They are all masculine nouns.
- The days of the week that end in “s” like “el lunes”, “el martes”, “el miércloes”, “el jueves”, “el viernes” do not change its form neither in singular or in plural form. Por ejemplo (For example): Salimos el lunes - we (will) go out on Monday. Salimos los lunes - We go out on Mondays.
- Notice that here “el” means “on” in English.
-To say the day, the verb “ser (to be)” is required. Por ejemplo: Hoy es jueves. - Today is Thursday. “es” is a conjugated form of the verb “ser”. ↣Learn more about “ser”
